Christmas letter 2008

Dear family and fiends:

The year has almost finished. I hope you are having a great Christmas days. Let me tell you aboutthe highlights of my year.

1.

Living with a disability

My name's Samuel and I've been deaf since I was born. When I was younger I had a lot of problems because I can't comunicate with other people, but I went to a special school with other children like me. Now I'm nineteen and I go to the university and I have a lot of friends and a girlfriend. My life is very normal.

Life is different in some things. For exemple, I would like to hear the birds, or the sound of the beach... Anyway, I have a peculiarity, I'm very used to reading the lips of people and I know what they're saying to me.

I need help with the lessons in the university, and things like this. But in general I don't need so much help.

I can't stand going to the disco, because I see people dancing and they are very happy, but I can't listen the music and it depress me. And the thing that annoy me is when people think that I don't know what they're saying to me and they say stupid things and I know exactly what they say.

An afternoon in eroski

I'm going to explain us our afernoon in the eroski.

In the beginning we had to go on 28th of October, but the teacher told us that we couldn't go because the teacher told us that we couldn't go because of the rain and we went on 4th of November, last Tuesday.

We were very happy because it was the second day that we try to go to eroski... and it didn't rain !

So we took the bus and after we got on, the bus was full. Then we arrived to Eroski and the intention was eat something in McDonald's, but you could understand that with just 1.50€ we couldn't eat anything... so we decided to enter in Eroski supermarket and buy something cheaper.

After Guille had paid, people were dispersing to shops... but we sat, and we ate our food. Then we went to shops and we had to return to school.

It was a great afternoon,

My life story

I was born in Barcelona in 1993. When I was young I lived in a flat in Barcelona, but when my little sister borned we had to move to Sant Cugat in another house because it too small for five persons.

My earliest memory is not very clear, but I remember when I was two years, my grandfather and I went for a walk together. And I remember that my sister, my cousins and I did drawing contests, and my grandfather was the jury.
I stayed one year in primary school in Barcelona, but then we moved to Sant Cugat and I went to Santa Isabel, and when I was 10 years I went to this school since now.
I supose that I have changed since I was young, like everyone...
I will finish high school and then, I supose I will go to the university. But I don't have any idea what I want to do in the future.

This unusual photo is the result of an incident that hapens in the east coast of USA. All the poblation had to be evacuate because there was a very big storm.

The storm began at 10 in the morning. While the firefighters began to evacuate all the houses and everybody were very frightened. As soon as the huricane hit the coast it started to pull up trees.

While, some people were still in the zone and when they saw the strong huricane went away from the danger.

After four hours the wind was very strong and a boat fell on the top of a car. A lot of trees and streetlights fell.

In the end the storm stopped and everything returned to normal, exept the car and the boat of this curious photo.

During a week the poblation of this village had to work to repair the damages of this storm.

Croatia's National Park

In this photo apears the National Park in Croatia. This place is very natural and there are a lot of trees, rivers and lakes. The watter is very clean and blue, and there are fishes. In this photo you can see a large bridge witch you can walk on it and observe the countryside. Also you can take a boat to cross the lake. I've choosen this photo because two years ago I went to Croatia and I was in this place. I remember it was very good and I took a lot of photos.
